Delawareans will make the right decision as it relates to their families needs when clearly presented with all of the information and options available.
Insurance is a "binding" product between you, the consumer and the insurance company. Citizen driven leadership recognizes that there is a danger when a family is "bound" to a contract that only one party truly understands. If elected I will use the resources of the office to focus on better educating Delawareans on their options.

Consider that it is you, the consumer, who pays both the doctors and insurance companies. Yet, when the subject of paying for care comes in, you are left out of this discussion. Currently, Democratic policies have attempted to impose more regulations as a way to solve these issues. However, there are two problems with this approach. One, your insurance policies are filled with hard to understand laws/regulations. Two, although politicians know extra cost added to insurance companies eventually hike up the prices to consumers; they never inform you of this when mentioning all of the facts of their proposals.

The Insurance Commissioner's office should serve as a central point where consumers can easily find all pertinent information relating to insurance. The office should also highlight those practices and policies of good health and credit that help reduce insurance rates. Education puts the citizen back in the driver's seat. It allows us to weigh the costs and benefits so that you can make an informed decision on what's best for you and your family.
